Responsible for the integrity of mechanical hardware.
Main duties comprise the development of mechanical components for gas engine.
Typical areas being: cylinder block and attachments including flywheel housing, power cylinder including pistons and rings, crankshafts, gear train, con rods and bearings, cylinder head and valve train.
Responsible for solutions to field problems, working closely with a cross-functional peer group of Service, Manufacturing, Quality and supplier Engineers using CACI and 7 step techniques.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Science.
Minimum of 5 years experience of diesel or gas engine design and development.
