Responsible for carrying out design studies and calculations producing conceptual layouts, installation drawings, detailed drawings, bills of materials and assembly drawings for engine products.
Working from technical profiles to produce conceptual layouts and assembly drawings for new products and products used at design reviews to agree best concepts for final design.
Produce detailed drawings using best foundry, forge shop and fabrication design rules.
Attend design and drawing quality reviews to present the design.
Participate in Simultaneous Engineering process to achieve least cost designs.
Qualified to HNC/HND in Design or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of three years experience, preferably in the reciprocating engine industry or with engine components or system manufacture.
Experience of CAD (IDEAS, PRO-E etc) essential.
